Client Introduction
Beal Homes has been providing bespoke high specification homes in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region for nearly 60 years. In 2023 Beal launched their state-of-art Design Lounge providing customers with a unique experience to personalising their new home.
System Requirements
We were approached by Beal Homes to provide a premium speaker system solution to their design lounge. The challenge was to deliver a high-quality sound system that not only performed well but also complemented the aesthetics of the showroom.
Since the space is used to showcase options to buyers to customise their new home, a speaker system that does not over power the atmosphere but enhances it with subtle, high quality sound was needed. The speaker locations were designed meticulously making sure there was an even sound coverage throughout the lounge.
It was import that the design lounge could be split into two zones- the middle desk seating and outer showroom area, administrative and customer discussions would take place at the middle desks, consequently both areas needed to have separate volume and input control.
Solution
The solution was a 100v 2 zone power dynamics audio matrix, splitting the space into the office and showroom areas. On the initial visit, it was recognised that cables could be routed through existing containment that had sufficient space for the speakers cables to be run. Ceiling speakers were mounted on both fabricated black brackets to beams and existing cable trays to blend seamlessly.
The lounge was split into two individually controlled zones where the volume and input could be controlled independently. Each zone can choose from aux, Bluetooth, radio or memory card storage at the touch of a button, the radio was delivered through a PDC 40 radio tuner with high gain aerial.
Result
A carefully designed system with high quality strategically placed speakers, proper room acoustics and a easy to use matrix will enhance the showrooms experience and leave visitors with lasting impression.
